Proudly serving the Yarragon community
Yarragon Lions Club is a local volunteer service club based in the town of Yarragon, in Gippsland, Victoria. We're part of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest volunteer service organisation, and we've been giving back to our community for years.
From our Op Shop to sausage sizzles, school breakfast programs, and community fundraising, we're out in Yarragon all year round. Every project is run entirely by volunteers who simply want to see our town thrive.
We believe a strong community looks after its own. That means supporting local families and individuals doing it tough, whether through disaster relief, disability support, or just a helping hand when someone needs it, alongside backing local schools, causes, and community appeals.
Meetings and board
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month for a two course dinner meeting from 6pm, $25 a head. Come along as a guest, we'd love to have you.
Our club is run by a dedicated board of local volunteers, elected each year to guide our projects.
As well as our regular meetings, Yarragon Lions Club is active in the community throughout the year.

About Lions Australia
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest volunteer service organisation, uniting local clubs like ours under a shared purpose to serve our communities, support people in need, and foster good citizenship. Members are guided by a code of ethics built on honesty, fairness, and putting community first.
Beyond our own local work, Lions clubs across Australia have a long history of stepping up during disasters and emergencies, including Cyclone Tracy, Black Saturday, and major flood events, and continue to support communities doing it tough.
Lions have also backed medical research, helping fund early work behind the cervical cancer vaccine and hearing technology still used today.
Nationally and worldwide, Lions focuses on five key causes: diabetes, vision, hunger, childhood cancer, and the environment, alongside humanitarian and youth programs run through our international foundation.
How we serve
Every year, the Yarragon Lions Club puts the proceeds from our Op Shop, along with community donations, straight back into local causes. We've supported the CFA with equipment and station needs, backed local schools through supplies and learning resources, and stood alongside families doing it tough with practical, hands-on help.
We're also there when disaster strikes, contributing to bushfire and flood recovery efforts, and we back a range of community appeals throughout the year, from medical support to local causes that could use a hand.
We're always on the lookout for new causes and organisations that could use our support. Know someone we should help?
